Tyler Dundore, S&C Coach at Athletic Mentors, Competitive Olympic Weightlifter
"Training with Regan at MASQ training has helped me reach my strength goals that were once a dream, get out of pain, and made me a more fit human being. He worked closely with me to reach my goals and has helped me understand the process of becoming a better athlete. Regan is very knowledgeable coach that I highly recommend to anyone ranging from elite athletes to individuals trying to improve their health and fitness." Tyler told me his goal was to complete an Olympic Triathlon and pull a 500lb Deadlift within a few months to finish of 2020. Below is 500lb Deadlift (45lb PR) after completing the Triathlon just months prior. -Regan |
Wes Jenkins, Physical Therapy Student, Former Collegiate T&F Athlete
"Hey dude, this past Strength Cluster Program has been amazing. Working with you the past 1.5 years has been life changing athletically. All the injury prevention work has definitely made a difference, seeing how I've been PRing every lift, yet haven't experienced any injuries. Having this kind of personalized programming makes all the difference, thanks man." Wes came to me with the goal of running a 5 minute mile and pulling 500lb in the same day. We are very close to reaching his goal, so far he has ran a 5:06 mile and pulled 475lb (below for a 25lb PR). If his schooling didn't get in the way so much I know we would have alrady accomplished it, oh well must keep moving forward -Regan |

Lisa Forman, Master CrossFit Athlete "I would highly recomend MASQ Training. Not only did I enjoy it, but I felt each movement had a purpose. It all worked together to improve my weak areas, as well as my strength. Quick feedback was very helpful, especially with the technical movements. No doubt my strength and skills have improved with MASQ Training. He helped me work around a nagging injury. I know he is on top of the latest information in the fitness industry. Watch out for those deload with nasal breathing, they will get you every time! As a girl in her late forties trying to keep up with CrossFit athletes 10 to 30 years younger, He has helped me become stronger and faster." |
Sam Black, Marshall University S&C Coach & Competitive Weightlifter
"Over the last few years, Regan has helped immensely in my training. He has constructed detailed and individualized programs to prepare me for success in competition, and has always been willing to share his knowledge and expertise along the way. His quest for mastery in his profession is clear to all who work with him." |
Seth Prusakiewicz, Competitive CrossFit Athlete
"MASQ training was one of the best programs I have ever done. I was getting a lot stronger every week, and all my goals were achieved after performing this programing. My back squat, front squat, clean and jerk, and my deadlift increased and I was hitting new PRs that I never thought I would be able to get. Also, I got help with my technique on all my lifts to become a more efficient athlete. Regan Quaal at MASQ Training is a great coach that puts together an awesome program fit for you." |
Carey Korson, Big North Barbell Owner & Competitive CrossFit Athlete
"In the 3 years that I have been doing Regan’s strength training I have gained muscle mass, increased my unilateral strength and stability, and drilled technique. Regan builds custom programs to get you desired results. Not only does he provide programming, Reg is great at giving cues and helping drill patterns without being in person with you. Also, I am excited to have him do our gym's custom programming for our classes." |
Nathan Welty, Saint Cloud State University Strength & Conditioning Coach
"Regan programmed for me in the past his approach to a well designed program that is individualized to my goals is amazing. He has not only helped me improve my performance in both strength, muscle mass, even speed for sprinting and improving my vertical! His programming has even influenced me with my own athletes to make me a better coach! Can’t thank him enough! The attention to detail and just though process that he puts into developing the program is great! 5 out of 5 stars!" |
Alex Morrison, Competitive CrossFit Athlete
"I was an athlete for Masq for 2 years. Regans approach to “training like an athlete” was something that I wholeheartedly supported from an ex-collegiate athlete perspective; it was like going back to my roots physically, and mentally. As great as that was, honestly the biggest/greatest thing that happened during my time with Regan was when I experienced a crush injury to my right (dominant) hand. For 7 months I could not carry anything in my hand while it healed." "Regan was not deterred in the slightest, and he didn’t let me get down either. The next DAY he had adjusted my training and gave me a program that still helped me achieve my goal. He programs intelligently, and gives you the WHY behind what he is trying to accomplish. Even with one hand, he got me stronger, faster, and more competitive. His willingness to work with me through a pretty dark time kept me sane and my head on straight. Not to mention, a 335# zercher squat is pretty sick." |
Glenn McAleenan, Competitive CrossFit Athlete
“Regan and MASQ Training have been an incredible asset to my health and fitness journey. Regan has an uncanny ability to program to meet you where you are while simultaneously progressing you towards your goals. My needs have steadily evolved during our work together from building a foundation of strength and control for injury prevention, to Olympic lifting, to attacking personal weakness’ of barbell cycling, core stability, and grip work. Regan embraces any crazy ideas I have or things I want to work on. His openness and ingenuity in programming have brought back a passion to training for me. Without a seconds hesitation I would recommend anyone to contact Regan to help them on their own health and fitness journey.” |
"MASQ has been the best strength programming I have ever done. When I came to MASQ I had very little control of my lifts and was constantly putting myself into bad positions. After some conversations, Regan pinpointed my posterior as my weakness and we went to work. Since working with Regan my positioning has improved and I’ve had a few PRs, but more importantly the higher percentage lifts have started to look as good as the warm-up sets. If you’re looking for a program perfectly tailored to your needs and goals as an athlete look no further than MASQ."

I've been working Regan for over a year and I've been really happy with the progress that I've seen. I've gained strength, improved my posture, and made a ton of progress on my lifts. Whether my objectives are increasing strength, specific skills, or even better performance, Regan listens to what my objectives are and designs programming that works for me. He's able to design around my specific limitations and help me work towards strengthening those weaknesses. Glad to have him as a resource. |
Levi Anderson, University of Providence Men's Hockey
I was coached by Regan for two years while playing. Before being coached by Regan I never knew my full potential as an athlete, he pushed me in the gym which translated into better performance on the ice. He trained me to perform at my highest level each and every time I stepped in the gym and on the ice. I had never reached my full potential in the gym and on the ice until Regan coached me. Not only did Regan push me to be the best athlete I could be he was someone who knew the line between having fun and hard work. Every day I was greeted with a smile and a laugh but when it was time to train he pushed me to my fullest potential. I have always been one to communicate with my coaches and Regan was no different, when it came to communicating lifting techniques, encouragement and learning from him, it was always a pleasure to listen. I expanded my knowledge of training immensely while being coached by Regan, he was a great teacher and someone who always listened to myself and the team. Regan is a very well educated individual who knows his stuff and can tap into anyone’s potential and make them a better person while training and in life. Regan is the strength and conditioning coach of all coaches, the way he motivates and taps into each and every individual’s potential is what makes him special. I can attribute individual and team success to this individual. He has been very influential in my life as an athlete and as a person. Let Regan tap into your potential and see how far your limits actually go. |

“Regan a great strength coach that really gets invested into your success. He continuously tried to help me get stronger as well as understand the fundamentals that went into that. He genuinely cares about making you into a better athlete” |
Michael Weiss, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach
"Masq Training continuously delivers high quality training programs, no matter what physical endeavor you are pursuing. He has helped me prep successfully for both a Powerlifting Meet and a Tough Mudder. Their programs are the best in the game! Research based and backed by modern strength training principles.” |
Grant Kelly, Belmont University Men's Tennis
“Regan helped me immensely with my transition into D1 college athletics. As my first fitness coach, he taught me the fundamentals of weightlifting and mentored me to become a better athlete and teammate. His high-energy style motivated me to embrace workouts and bring the highest level of focus and attention to detail daily. Reagan preaches making those around you better through hard work.” |
Taylor Matthew, University of Providence Softball
"Coach Regan made the weight room an exciting environment to come to everyday. He pushed his athletes to be both the mentally and physically the strongest they can be." |
Jordan Komac, University of Providence Wrestler
"When Regan came to providence as our strength and conditioning coach, our whole weight room environment changed. Regan came in with intentions that he truly wanted us to get better and stronger. Regan always had a positive attitude towards us and was really good about motivating us and getting ourselves to push each other. Regan also made the weight room a fun and motivating environment. All of us trusted his process and it should dramatically. Personally, my lifts in the off season improved quite a bit, and during wrestling season, I don’t think my body has ever felt that healthy and that strong before. He knew how to lift us during season and out of season and he was always doing his research on wrestling so he knew what was important for us to exercise specifically for our sport. As a team we always felt like we were his #1 priority. He always held us accountable, and reached out to us personally to see how we were doing." |
Cheyenne Cavanaugh, Belmont University Softball
"Regan played such a pivotal role in my entrance into D! college athletics. He was able to provide accurate feedback while pushing me to be more successful, I could not be more thankful for the time spent training under Regan and the lasting impact he has left regarding fitness." |
Elison Ollinger, Belmont Softball
"I've learned a lot from Regan. My first couple years as a Division 1 athlete, Regan helped me set a firm foundation in the weight room and pushed me to do my best. His passion for what he does and his encouraging demeanor inspired me to work hard, compete, and have a new found passion for fitness." |
Marko Ilic, Belmont Tennis
"I had a pleasure to have Regan as my strength & conditioning coach for 2 seasons at Belmont University. He was a crucial part of our tennis team's success. Under his leadership in the gym, we became regular season conference champions. Regan further contributed to my doubles partner's and mine success in doubles as he helped us prepare for the 2019 NCAA National tournament where we got to sweet 16 in doubles beating a team from Florida and ending the season as #25 ranked doubles team in the nation. What I like about Regan is that he is very approachable and knows how to adapt to everyone individually and modify training sessions to get the most out of it in the long run. " |
Ivy Navarro, University of Providence Wrestler
“Regan is an amazing coach. He emphasizes proper form in the weight room without compromising athlete safety. Coach Regan has an encouraging demeanor that radiates throughout weight room. “ |
Hendrik Inno, Belmont University Tennis
"Regan helped our team get stronger and fitter. His attention was sport-specific and personalized. Each of us received the same amount of attention both in the weight room as well as outside. He had no obligation to come to our matches but he attended most of them supporting us and learning the physical parts of the sport. All of that shows Regan’s commitment to helping people reach their goals." |
Bo Miller, Belmont University Thrower
I have been fortunate enough to have worked with many different very successful and renown trainers throughout my athletic career; and Regan is one of the only ones I refer to everyone. In the year that I trained with Regan I progressed as an athlete through developing a better understanding for how our bodies work regarding our diet and program. Regan was a role model for me and showed me how to compete better, train harder, and stay healthier. I am very thankful for the time when I had Regan as a strength and conditioning coach, and a life coach as well |
Tatum Sparks, University of Providence Wrestler
I was lucky enough to meet Regan the Summer before my Senior year of college. My college career consisted of multiple short-term coaches which makes being a college athlete harder than it already is. When going into the gym, I had already heard good reviews about a new coach who would be taking over our training program. I went in a little skeptical, yet excited to finally have a coach who was willing to invest his time and energy into sculpting us into better athletes. All I can say is he exceeded all of my expectations. He created an environment with structure, purpose and fun. The first thing I noticed was the organization and structure he implemented. We knew what to expect in the weight room every week. We downloaded an app that we could use as a team and track our own progress, as well as have our workouts with us, at all times, no matter where we were. If we missed a lift, it was no problem because you had the information and expectations that were all listed in a simple, yet efficient app. He gave us the direction we needed to evolve into strong bodied and healthy athletes. He was able to construct and challenge our bodies to best fit the goals we had as a team and individuals. As wrestlers, we do not do a lot of simple movements. We need to be strong in some of the most uncomfortable positions and I felt that he was able to achieve that. He made sure to challenge us, as well as inspire, with his words of encouragement and energy. The fun we were able to have while learning to put our bodies through some challenges, was amazing. I was never too fond of the gym but I never knew what fun we were able to have while doing something that was such an important part of our sport. He learned that wrestlers were so competitive, yet so unathletic, at the same time. Using that, he was able to force us to try other sports, give the 100% of effort we always gave and turn us into more well-rounded athletes. He had us play basketball, dodgeball and even football. It may not have been very pretty to watch, but we tried. I was able to see so much more growth from our team through their strength and their mindsets. I wish I was able to have him as a coach for longer than a year. He is a great asset to have on your side to coach and train with. |
John Barron, CrossFit Athlete
Regan is a creative, passionate, and knowledgeable strength coach. His ability to vary programs based on equipment, space and need is amazing. He understands how to help you meet your goals and more importantly tailors his programs to what you need the most. I really enjoyed following his program! |
Corey Claireborne, Belmont University Thrower
Regan is the pinnacle example passion and professionalism in his field. As an athlete under his guidance, I felt secure in knowing I had a coach with the integrity to pay attention to every detail and the knowledge to push me in the right direction. Regan provides an atmosphere in training that encourages athletes to not only train hard, but train correctly. Some of my best years of training were in my latter years of college and I know Regan is directly responsible for that. |
Gage Bentley, University of Providence Wrestler
“I got the opportunity to be able to not only be trained by Regan, but work with Regan as an intern at his time and the University of Providence. Being an Exercise Science major with a passion for strength and conditioning really opened my eyes to the structure, professionalism, and creativity back by science in strength and conditioning. I can only say great things about Regan as a coach, I view him as a great mentor in the time I got to learn from him, taking those lessons I learned from him and am still applying them today. Every time I got to pick his brain on concepts in the profession, I learned. Even on things I might have known about, his knowledge of the subject made me gain a new perspective. His programs are nothing short of the same excellence and effort that he puts into his athletes as a coach. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their athletic performance substantially or even to those who have a passion and want to learn about strength and conditioning, but his knowledge isn't just limited to that.” |
Skyla Minert, University of providence Softball
I had the privilege of training under Regan Quaal as my Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Providence as a dual-sport student-athlete for 1 season. Having competed at two separate universities, in two sports, and at two different levels, I have worked alongside several Strength and Conditioning Coaches – and Coach Regan’s knowledge and implementation far exceeded every coach I have trained with for several reasons. First, he has an in-depth understanding of what each program needs to be successful. Each workout he creates is individually tailored toward each specific sport. By doing this, our workouts were more efficient and purpose-driven. Because we knew the relevance of what we were doing and knew it would actually make us better sport-specific athletes, we, in turn, were also encouraged to work harder through his workouts, as opposed to working through arbitrary workouts we saw little sport-specific value in. Digging even deeper, he took the time to consider team needs and individual needs. He would notice that exercises would be too easy or difficult and make immediate and long-term adjustments so each athlete could maximize their workout outcomes. His practical sport, team, and individually specific modifications when constructing workouts are far beyond anything I have ever seen. Additionally, for athletes who wanted to do everything to improve performance, Coach Regan had a strong understanding and foundation in nutrition. All I had to do was ask and he gave me education-based, practical pro-tips about what I should (and should not) be eating to boost my performance on and off the field. Finally, coach Regan lives what he coaches. His motivation and heart for being the best he can be is contagious and spreads to anyone he surrounds himself with. For me, the best thing about Coach Regan is how involved he is. He invests so much time and thought into each workout, team, and individual. He never misses a workout and never hesitates to show up early or stay late for those who want to put in the extra work. He shows up on game day to support his athletes and is always looking for ways in which he can improve. He makes it so easy to work hard for him because he works so hard for his athletes. After graduating as a student-athlete, I decided to join the military because I didn’t want all that hard work to go to waste. At basic training, I was awarded top female in physical fitness and I can proudly say it was coach Regan who instilled in me the knowledge and character necessary to accomplish that feat. Thanks, Coach! |

Working with Regan this past summer was the best decision I ever made. He not only challenges me physically, but mentally as well. I have never felt stronger and more ready to perform at my best for the upcoming season. Each workout is personalized to me and my needs to be the best version of myself on the court. When I train with Regan, I know I am training towards perfection. There is never a dull moment, and I always feel safe. His knowledge is second to none, and I know that training with him will get me to where I want to be. Paul Burkert, Owner CrossFit Lake Effect- Holland MI
We have been utilizing Regan for programming and coaching for almost a decade. The MASQ gym training program has been instrumental for the health of our members and the continued growth of our business. Regan has a hands-on approach that allows us to have a customized program that is both effective and fun. Regan will often ask for feedback, to better tailor our programming to our customer demographic. The average age of our gym is 37 years of age with a number of members in their 40s. With this in mind the programming provided can allow these clients to attend daily without the propensity for injury while also allowing our members with more competitive goals to advance in both strength and technique. I appreciate that Regan incorporates all aspects of fitness, including functional bodybuilding for areas of strength that are commonly negated in most Functional fitness programs. As a business owner, I appreciate that the programming is always posted to us weeks in advance. It allows us to plan warm ups and figure out class layout to have a smooth and effective running class. Regan is very professional and works with us to provide the best possible product. Regan has been instrumental in the success of CrossFit Lake Effect as a business and the health of hundreds of members who have attended through the years. |
Nate Wells, Great Lakes Academy Sport Scientist
“Coaches need coaches. As someone in the field of Athletic performance, training yourself is part of the job, but sometimes following your own programs can get stale. I’ve always been impressed with Regan’s thought process when it comes to programming, so when I saw his cluster strong protocol I jumped onboard. The program is masterfully built, and it’s a grind, but after the three weeks you’ll feel strong as an ox! I couldn’t recommend this protocol enough to anyone looking for a great strength program.” Carey Korson, Owner Big North Barbell
Big North Barbell has used MASQ training programming for over 2 years. Regan is able to write the program based on the needs of our clients. He provides an excellent balance between strength work and conditioning. Our athletes range from 25-65 years old. My favorite aspect of working with MASQ training is that we review the program weekly to make adjustments rather than using a general program and having to make changes. |
