LIVER, WHY YOU SHOULD EAT IT!

  • Liver is packed with vitamins and minerals, it’s basically like taking a meat multivitamin. including: B Vitamins, Selenium, Copper, Phosphorous, Zinc, Iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Copper, Potassium, Magnesium, Phosphorous, and Iron.
  •  Adequate intake of the above nutrients has been shown to be linked to lower oxidative stress, muscle damage, and inflammation leading to athletes having more optimal recovery.
  • Other benefits include: cardiovascular health, energy, cancer protection, immune function, bone health and blood vessel health
  • Contains high levels of CoQ10, which has been shown to increase maximal oxygen uptake (VO2-Max) and also plays a large role in recycling Vitamin E. Vitamin E assist with the production of Red Blood Cells, helping oxygen get to the various tissues in the body. 
  • It is fairly common for trained athletes to have low levels of CoQ10 because the huge demand of the volume of exercise.
  • Contains high levels of Iron.  Iron is an essential part of the protein hemoglobin that carries both oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood.  It also plays a key role in the production ATP and in the transfer of oxygen into muscle cells.
